About Me

Cody Moat running through fire in the Spartan Race.

You can find a lot about me at my Spartan page.  I have been involved in athletics my whole life. In high school I did wrestling, cross-country, and track. In college I did cross-country, indoor track, and outdoor track. I married Leona and after 13 years of marriage we now have 4 kids. We have 2 boys and 2 girls. I now spend my time teaching high school and coaching wrestling, track, and cross-country. I also clean and build forest trails during the summer. I try to balance these activities with training for Spartan races and trail marathons. I love the outdoors which includes: hiking, hunting, and fishing.

Short Bio: I was raised in Duchesne, UT where I loved to hunt and fish and was involved in athletics. I went to SUU to college on an athletic scholarship, graduated in technology education, and started teaching high school classes of woods, construction, and drafting. We lived in Montpelier, ID for 2 years and then moved to Fillmore, UT where we now reside.
